FAQ

What we are always asked

Is DigiAccess only for access control?

No. DigiAccess is an electronic security ecosystem with five product lines: access control, CCTV with video analytics, IP alarms, gate automation and virtual intercom. All five share a database, lists and decision engine, and are installed separately or combined.

Does it work if I already have cameras and turnstiles installed?

In most cases yes. DigiAccess connects over the network to the existing equipment instead of replacing it. The first step is reviewing the brand and model of what is installed.

Does it work if the internet goes down?

Yes. The decision engine lives on site, not in the cloud: when a person identifies themselves, the lookup and the verdict happen inside the site itself. If the internet link goes down, doors, turnstiles and barriers keep operating normally and entries keep being recorded.

The only things waiting for the connection to return are the collaborative functions: phone notifications and authorizations created from off site. Once restored, everything synchronizes on its own.

What happens if a person works for several companies on the site?

One authorization is created per company. The engine evaluates them all and grants entry if at least one allows it on that day and at that hour.

Can we migrate the data we already have?

Yes. It is imported from Excel or CSV, even if the information currently lives in a spreadsheet at the gatehouse.

Who administers the system day to day?

The community or site administration sets the rules. But residents and companies administer their own from their own login: they authorize visits, download reports and receive notifications. The gatehouse only sees single-decision screens.

How long does installation take?

It depends on the number of points and whether data has to be migrated. The on-site sizing is what defines the schedule, and it is done before quoting.

What warranty does the equipment carry?

Two years of factory warranty against manufacturing defects, handled directly by the brand. The equipment is ONVIF and FCC certified.
